Huntington Prep wins

Huntington Prep used a consistent offensive output to run away from St. Ignatios (S.C.) in a 121-80 win on Saturday afternoon at the Newt Oliver Classic on the campus of the University of Rio Grande.

Andrew Wiggins led the Express with 22 points to lead seven double-figure scorers while Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 21 points.

Elijah Macon finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Huntington Prep (8-1) while JaVontae Hawkins had 14 points.

HUNTINGTON -- At a small table inside the small gymnasium at Huntington St. Joe High School there was an impact event Thursday for the future of NCAA Division I men's basketball.
Huntington Prep Academy boys players and families joined with St. Joe faculty and students to celebrate the signings of national letters of intent for Negus Webster-Chan, Stefan Jankovic, Elijah Macon and JaVontae Hawkins.
