Tri-State Hoops Classic Continues Today
Friday's opening night of the Tri-State Classic was successful especially for local teams. Huntington St. Joe, Ironton, and Huntington Prep all recorded victories.

Prep picks up win at Florida tourney
HUNTINGTON -- On one of the biggest national stages for high school players, Huntington Prep's Andrew Wiggins proved why he is the nation's No. 1 player for the Class of 2013.
With the game in the balance, Wiggins scored 14 of his 31 points in the third quarter as the Express turned a close contest into a blowout during a 77-50 win over Houston HYCA at the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.

HPREP 73 Evelyn Mack 52 / Final
Huntington Prep hostd the Evelyn Mack Academy Wildcats today in head coach Rob Fulford's hometown of Mullens. Huntington Prep cruised to a 73-52 victory improving to 1-0 while the Wildcats dropped to 3-2 on the season.
Huntington Prep was led by Andrew Wiggins who finished with 24 (13 of which coming in the 3rd quarter). Teki Gill-Ceasar scored 19 (4-4 from the foul line), while Xavier Rathan-Mayes accounted for 12.
Dominic Woodson supplied 7 including three monsterous dunks.
Huntington Prep held Evelyn Mack's two leading scorers to a combined three points.
